He was predeceased by : his parents, Zollie Thomas Farmer and Peggy Ann Smith Farmer; his stepmother-in-law Carol Snyder; his son-in-law Rick Weeks; and his brother-in-law Richard Snyder.

He is survived by : his wife Sherlene "Sherry" Snyder Farmer; his daughters, Jennifer Farmer Weeks of Raleigh, Katherine Farmer of Raleigh and Heather Farmer (Nate Carpenter) of Raleigh; his sister Joan Richert (Bruce); his nieces and nephews, Peyton and Carson of Clayton; and his parents-in-law, Jenny Snyder and Tom Snyder. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
