He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Potter and Annie Potter; and his brother Donnie Potter. He is survived by : his wife Edna A. Potter of La Grange, NC; his daughters, Jan Potter Prevo of Clayton, NC and Julie Potter Rouse (Herb) of La Grange, NC; his grandchildren, Ashley Prevo Hester, Megan Prevo Worley, William Franklin Prevo, Macy Nicole Rouse, Avery Grace Rouse and Lexy Reese Rouse; and his great grandchildren, Isaac James Hester, Madelyn Hope Hester and Emmett Boone Worley.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Rouse Funeral Home (108 N Caswell St, La Grange, NC 28551). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
