He was predeceased by: his parents, Leamon Moody Laws and Luna B. Laws; his wife Sallie Hinton Laws; his siblings, Alice Smith, Guilford T. Laws and Shelton Laws; and his son James Dwight Laws.
He is survived by: his stepson Marty Whitley (Martha Ann); his sister Mary Southern; and his cousin Al Laws. He is also survived by many friends and his church family.
