Edna C. Mewborn Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna C. Mewborn (La Grange, North Carolina), who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Offie Clark and Louise Hinson Clark; her husband John Titus Mewborn; her son Jeffrey Mewborn; her stepfather George Steppe; her in-laws, Titus and Mary Mewborn; her siblings, Janie Vandiford and Mitchell Steppe; and her in-laws, Mary Moye Mewborn, Nannie Fields, Jean Mrosla, Gerald Mangham, Gordon Tyson and Charles Vandiford.
She is survived by: her daughters, Leigh Mewborn Hardy (Allen) of La Grange and Robin Mewborn Hardy (Parker) of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Kristen Hardy Flippin (Erik) of Panama City, FL, Jonathan Hardy (Danielle) of Ayden, NC, Andrew Hardy (Matty) of Chattanooga, TN and John Hardy of Denver, CO; her great grandchildren, Lily, Lucas Flippin, Kyrie Faust, Addison Hardy and Hallie Hardy; her sisters, Grace Tyson and Bertie Mangham; and her in-laws, Ancel, Sylvia Mewborn, Richard Mrosla and Shirley Steppe. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:20 AM at the Home of Leigh and Allen Hardy (2185 Titus Mewborn Rd, La Grange, NC 28551). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Snow Hill.
