It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Holmes Tyndall (La Grange, North Carolina), who passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Melton Donald "Tootie" Tyndall; her parents, Nerius Carr Holmes, Sr. and Naomi Johnson Holmes; her siblings, Margaret "Dot" Haddock, Merle Foss (Dulon), Joyce Edwards (John Ira), N. C. Holmes, Jr. (Doris), Fay Letchworth (Hally) and Royce Holmes; and her in-laws, George Strickland and Nell Holmes.
She is survived by: her siblings, Brenda Strickland, Gerald Holmes, Dean Johnson (Edna) and Bryce Johnson (Nelda); and her siblings-in-law, Bill Haddock, Elsie Holmes, Faye Tyndall, Catherine Adams and Geneva Moore.
