It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Rouse (La Grange, North Carolina), who passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rupert Bright Rouse and Ruth Graham Rouse; his wife Elsie Smith Rouse; his son Terry Edward Rouse; and his siblings, Rupert Garth Rouse, Audrey R. Tyson, Eris R. Bias and Stuart L. Rouse.
He is survived by: his daughter Cindy R. Watts (Martin); his grandchildren, Gary-Martin Watts (Ashley) and Suzanne L. Watts (Eric Coley); his great grandchild Maxwell D. Watts; and his siblings-in-law, Thelma Barrow, Johnny Smith and David Cauley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
