He was predeceased by : his father John Patrick Lynch; his sister Anne Mozingo; and his sister-in-law Hope Jones. He is survived by : his wife Diane Hardy Lynch; his sons, Patrick Lynch (Chasity) and Jim Hardy Lynch (Melissa); his grandchildren, Jackson, Grayson, Hardy and Caroline; his siblings, Kay Allen (Buddy), Jerry Lynch (Deborah) and John Ashley Lynch (Jennifer); and his sister-in-law Regina Zane (CJ). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jimmy's honor to Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 6861 Highway 55 West, Seven Springs, NC.
