He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Blake Bryan and Verda Mae Wade Bryan; his wife Elizabeth Ann "Pan" Bryan; his brother Arendall "Ren" Bryan; and his granddaughter Kara Ashley Bryan.
He is survived by: his children, John Wayne Bryan, Jr. (Susan), Larry Bryan (Kristi), Sherri Bryan Grubbs (Keith), Michael Bryan (Lisa) and Anna Bryan Jones (Eddie); his grandchildren, Kyndal Vandiford (Curtis), Denise Paulk (Blake), Dewitt Pope (Catherine), Jennifer Bryan Altom (Derek), Jeffrey Bryan (Kelly), Katie Bryan, Shaun Gray (Sarah), Jessica Harris (Chase), Elizabeth Leiter (Matthew), Adam Grubbs, Blake Bryan (Maggie), Austin Bryan (Molly), Michaela Bryan Hill (Noah), Gwyneth Jones (Eli), Morgan Jones and Evan Jones; his great grandchildren, Lily, Aubrey, Wesley, Claire, Tyshawn, Zoey, Jack, Stephen, Larry, Josiah, Silas, Parker, Ella, Mary Faith, Macon, Hallie Gray, Levi, Shiloh, Juniper, Ruby, Aiden, Lyla and Michael; and his brother Preston Bryan (Carol).
