He was predeceased by: his parents, Coley Edwards and Blanche Harris Edwards; his wife Shirley Phillips Edwards; his sisters, Louise Sroud, Geraldine Alcox, Alice Mitchell and Margaret Smart; and his son-in-law Greg Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Smith and Wayne Edwards Jr. (Dianne); his grandchildren, Hillary Smith (Aubrey) and Troy Smith (Olivia); and his great grandchildren, Caidan Smith and Miller Smith.
