She was predeceased by: her father Kenneth Wayne Rakestraw; her grandfather Dr. Jesse L. McDaniel; and her brother McDaniel "Mac" Rakestraw. She is survived by: her mother Anna Joyce McDaniel; her sisters, Julie Rakestraw Peel and Jessica Bundy (Brooks); her nieces and nephews, JoAnna, Jesslyn, Anaston, Annabelle, Aliza, Lilly Mac, Finley and Asher; and her grandmother Joyce McDaniel.

A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Howell's Childcare Center.
