She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Earl Peede; her son Robert Earl Peede Jr. (Tiffany) of La Grange; and her siblings, Wendell Wright, Cleo Garris and JoAnn Hudson.
She is survived by: her daughter Robin Jean Shingleton; and her grandchildren, Bryan Shingleton, Timothy Shingleton, Brooks Shingleton, Logan Peede (Somer), Joshua Shingleton, Connor Peede, Abbey Peede and Natalee Peede. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Howard-Carter Funeral Home (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 US-70, Kinston, NC 28504).
