We announce the death of Helen Apple of Lakeview, North Carolina, who passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 90. Helen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Johnson and Lillian Johnson; and her daughter Wendy Apple McRae of Lakeview. She is survived by: her husband Lewis Apple; her son Mike Apple (Dawn) of Lakeview; her grandchildren, Andrew Apple (Nicole), Abby Howard (Mark), Maggie Harris, Will Apple (Alyssa) and Eric McRae; her great grandchildren, Stella Livengood, Lily Howard, Madison Apple, Amelia Apple, Luke Howard and Ila Howard; and her half-sisters, Lorriane York and Teresa Dean (Prentice).
