James Osborne Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Osborne of Landis, North Carolina, who passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of James Osborne to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Farrell Osborne and Annie Genole Pless Osborne; his wife Mona Sylvia Woodie Osborne; and his siblings, Bence Osborne, Edna Watts, Ruby Martin and Maudine Kelly.

He is survived by: his children, Teresa Fite (Tony), David Osborne (Patti) and James Lee Osborne; his sister Rena Marshall; and his grandchildren, Anthony Shane Fite (Michelle), Casey Fite (Elizabeth) and Stephaine Osborne Russell (Bryan). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home (1420 N Main St, China Grove, NC 28023). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Landis (209 E Mill St, Landis, NC 28088).
