He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Martin Boyer and Dorothy Troutman; his sisters, Sue Schmeck, Mary Spade and Evelyn Anzelone; and his son David Boyer, Jr. (Shirley Ann Rhodes).
He is survived by : his children, Donna Boyer (Steve) of Middletown, Delaware and Doug Boyer of Elkton, Maryland; his daughters-in-law, Susan Boyer and Joyce Boyer; his siblings, Jeanette McCuster of California and Wayne Boyer (Janet) of South Carolina; his half-sister Diane Wass of Elkton, Maryland; his grandchildren, Chrissy Jacono, David Boyer, Stephanie Boyer (Ted), Staci Boyer (Adam), Danny Lemmon (Beverly) and Kim Johnson (Rodney); and his close friend Lena Rhodes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
