We bid farewell to James Wiley Greer (Lansing, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 17, 2025 at the age of 84. James Wiley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ballard and Ethel Lee Crum Greer; his siblings, Roger Greer, Tressie Taylor and Ella Mae Francis; and his wife Christine Pennington Greer.
He is survived by: his children, James Anthony Greer (Tony) of Creston, Dwayne Thomas Greer of Lansing and Anita Greer of Creston; his siblings, Letha Davis Pruitt of Creston, Mary Blevins of Lansing, Dorothy Price of Lansing, Clifton Greer of Creston, Don Greer of Wilkesboro, Dennis Greer of Warrensville, Daniel Greer of Lansing and David Greer of Ohio; and his grandchildren, Derrick Greer, Sam Greer, Dustin Greer, Sheena McNeill, Sierra Greer, Katrina Greer, Heather Greer, Kelly Greer and Alexis Greer. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sugar Grove Baptist Church (747 E Big Springs Rd, Lansing, NC 28643). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
