He is survived by: his wife Ruth Gourley Daughtry; his children, Tina Daughtry Whitmire (Jim) of Roanoke Rapids and David Wallace Daughtry (Cassie Mae) of Lasker; his grandchildren, Amanda Diane Dunlow, Sean Michael Dowling, Tyler Mathew Dowling, Lilliahna Grace Daughtry, James Tyler Whitmire, William Hunter Whitmire and Erica Elizabeth Whitmire; his great grandchildren, J. D. Dunlow and Kollin Dunlow; and his siblings, Virginia Daughtry Smith, Lucy Daughtry Browder, Mary Daughtry Bridgers and Rodney Bennett Daughtry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
