He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Walters and Wilma English Walters of Scotland County; and his brothers, Billy Walters and Artis Walters. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Caulder Walters; his children, Boyd Hampton "Hamp" Walters, Jr. (Tina) of Gastonia, NC and Jennifer Smith (Rayford) of Laurel Hill, NC; his stepdaughters, Teresa Pennell (Gary) of Cary, NC, Rhonda Caulder of Belmont, NC and Lisa C. Hester (Greg) of Denver, NC; and his grandchildren, Jessica Smith Cooper (Johnny), Casey Barfield (Jameson), Stephen Pennell, Kari Pennell, Brandon Hester (Kayla), Christy Hester (Matt), Molly Conn (Kevin) and Ryan Walters. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, loving extended family and many friends.
The family requests memorial donations be given to the Laurel Hill United Methodist Church.
