He is survived by: his children, Bridgett Danielle Gibson of Wagram, Cayla Lynn Gibson of Wagram and Alexander "Alex" Joseph Gibson; the parent of his child Shannon Sanders of Lumberton; his sister Lisa Gibson of Laurinburg; and his grandchildren, Mikah Scott, Aubrey Blue, Rosanna Taylor and Kaylani Demery.
