He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Calvin and Vivian Wyatt Goodman. He is survived by: his wife Daphne Jennings Goodman; his children, Joe Goodman (Roxanne) of Raleigh, Alycia Richardson (Cody) of Grassy Creek and Austin Goodman (Makala Reed); his stepchildren, Donnie Cardwell of Elizabethton, TN and Amy Paisley of Mountain City, TN; his siblings, Don Goodman of Winston Salem, Joyce Carroway (Keith) of West Jefferson, Brenda Garland (Jerry) of West Jefferson and Linda Harless of Jefferson; his grandchildren, Lupin Goodman, Evan Bledsoe, Connor Richardson, Maddison Richardson, Leo Goodman, Jayden Cardwell, Railey Cardwell, Nevaeh Cardwell, Hunter Paisley and Lakaya Paisley; his aunts, Toy Wyatt and Anna Mae Goodman; and his uncle Roger Wyatt (Julie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640).
