He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lafayette Whitehead and Elizabeth Pendergrass Whitehead; his wife Patsy Whitehead; and his siblings, Tommy Whitehead, Gerald Whitehead, Evelyn Rocky, Dot Broadnax, Hazel Epps, Mary Whitehead and Helen Rollins.
He is survived by: his children, David Paul Whitehead and Donna W. Peterson (Lee); his grandchildren, Kelly Langton (Neil), Josh Peterson (Kirsten) and Kyle Peterson (Anna); and his great grandchildren, Conor Langton, Samantha Langton, Wendy Susan Peterson and Emma Elizabeth Peterson.
In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations in Bobby's memory be made to First Baptist Church of Laurinburg or Church Community Services, 108 Gill Street, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
