She was predeceased by: her parents, James Paul Adams, Sr. and Ruby Dover Adams; and her husband James Leroy Cribb. She is survived by: her children, Dean Cribb (Jill) and Sharon Phelan (Chris); her grandchildren, Paige Woodham (Dereck), Rob Cribb (Chloe), Caroline Phelan and Ashlynne Phelan; her great grandchildren, Monroe Woodham, Hadley Woodham and Tatum Cribb; her siblings, James Adams, Jr. (Barbara), Glenn Adams (Sally), David Adams (Mary Jo), Richard Adams (Kitty) and Susie Harris (Phil); her family Carolyn; and her pet Charlie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. David's Episcopal Church of Laurinburg, NC (Building Fund), in honor of Carolyn's memory.
