He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Allen Smith and Dorothy Rogers Smith; his wife Jeanette Smith; his son Chan Smith; and his grandson Michael Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Rayford Smith (Jennifer) of Laurel Hill, Rhonda Smith Olive (Joseph) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Cyndy Smith Barker (Gary) of Statesville; and his siblings, Billy Ray Smith, Joe Allen Smith, Ralph Smith, Elizabeth Walters and Patty Altman. He is also survived by six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and many friends.
