He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sherman Dean and Cloria Mae Lockard Dean; his wife Marjorie Comer Dean; his siblings, David Dean, Jerry Dean and Linda Marino; and his grandson Triston William.
He is survived by: his children, Donald E. "Eddie" Dean Jr. of Ocala, FL, John C. Dean (Tina) of Florence, SC, Lucinda "Cindy" Dean and Craig Dean of Rockingham, NC; his grandson Blake Dean of Laurel Hill, NC; his son Curtis Dean (Tammy) of Laurinburg, NC; his sister Ruth Ann Breedlove of Ocala, FL; his grandchildren, Greg Wilkerson, Jessica Dean, Brittney Dean, Blair Martin, John Eric Williams, Ashley Williams and Kristen Williams; and his great grandchildren, Cohen Williams, Ariah Locklear and Ruby Claire Wilkerson.
