He is survived by: his wife Kitty Powell Lyon; his sons, Edwin Robert Lyon, III (Tina) of Independence, VA and Zachary Wood Lyon (Melanie) of Lewisville, NC; and his grandchildren, Abbie McClain (Josh), Nate Lyon (Bri), Brodie Lyon, John, Will Nicholson, Eliza, Sara Kathyn Gesse, Fulton, Garland and Ford Bell.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Awake Church (3500 Yadkinville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106).
