It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric Johnathon Heaton of Laurinburg, North Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2023, at the age of 38, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Bryant and Teresa Gail Locklear; and his son Deron Heaton. He is survived by : his children, Selena Heaton of Lumberton, Rylan Heaton of Laurinburg, Madison Heaton of Laurinburg and Eric James Heaton of Laurinburg; his brothers, Ryan A. Locklear of Maxton and Adam Locklear (Kayla) of Prospect; his grandparents, Mildred Doss of Laurinburg and Davis Smiling of Maxton; and his uncles, David Smiling Jr. of Pembroke and Marcus Smiling of Laurinburg.
