He was predeceased by: his parents, Evander Ray McCormick and Christian "" Porter McCormick of Scotland County, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Judy Morton McCormick; his son Evander "Vann" Ray McCormick, III (Kristin) of Laurinburg; and his sister Virginia Ann McCormick of Laurinburg.

The family requests memorial donations be giving in Evander's memory to Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church, 573 Battley Dairy Road, Rockingham, NC 28379 or Scotland Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
