He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Smith, Sr. and Lena Mae Laviner Smith; his wife Linda Faye Carlisle Smith; his children, Thomas Matthew "Matt" Smith and Toni Teresa Smith; and his brothers, Paul Smith and Will Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Everette "Alan" Smith (Mary) of Laurinburg, Ronald Smith of Laurinburg and Deborah Sue Chavis of Gibson; his siblings, Clarence Smith, Jr. of Fairmont and Evelyn S. Troublefield of Fairmont; and his grandchildren, Belinda McInnis, Dustin Smith, Abigil Jones, Ronin Smith, Dereck Pruitt, Aarron Chavis, Darron Chavis and Toni Hunt. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving extended family.
