He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wright and Rachel Snipes Wright. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Rushing Wright; and his children, Teresa W. Windsor (David) of Anderson, SC, George Thomas Wright, Jr. of Laurinburg and Matthew Wright (Sandy) of Farmville, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, PO Box 397, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
