She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Player and Adele Player; her husband Thurman Darrell Phillips; her siblings, Carolyn Bruce, Charles Player Jr., Shirley Harris and Arthur Player; and her grandmother Glenda.
She is survived by: her daughters, Catherine (Joe Kelly) of Laurinburg, Melissa (Rob Nethery) of Fort Mill and Valerie Gover of Laurinburg; her grandchildren, Virginia Nethery, Robert Andrew Nethery (Sarah), William Gover (Kaela), Meghan Kelly, Caitlin Hudson (Zach), Natalie Gover and Addison Loux; and her great grandchildren, Carmen, Samantha, Joel, Brystol, Alana, Eli, Holden, Benjamin, Connor, Amari and Tatum. She is also survived by aunt to her nieces and nephews.
