He was predeceased by: his parents, Tracy Henry Gibson and Annie Laura Grant Gibson; his wife Betty Lewis Gibson; his daughter Sandy Foreman; and his siblings, Bill Gibson, Prince Neal, Frankie Neal, Doris Cummings and Alice Boone.
He is survived by: his sons, James "Jamie" Tracy Gibson (Amber) of Laurinburg and Jerry Wayne Gibson (Valerie) of Laurinburg; his stepchildren, Lee Mumford (Lynn) of Macon, GA, Daniel Lacy Mumford (Pamela) of Camp Hill, PA and Tina Denise Mumford (Aberdeen); and his sister Betty Regan of Maxton. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel (13640 Andrew Jackson Hwy, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Laurinburg Memorial Park (11007 Academy Rd, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at the same location.
