He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson High and Magalene Todd High of Laurinburg; and his brother Nelson "Eddie" High. He is survived by: his children, Jamie Hinson (Chris) of Rockingham, Joy Watson (Keith) of Raleigh, Christopher "Chris" Riles of Sumter, SC and Cyera High of Maxton; his sister Susan High Britt (Richard) of Laurinburg; his grandchildren, Autumn, Madisyn (Christian), Ethan, Juliet and Whit; and his brother Michael McDowell (Bobby McCallum).
