He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Huggins and Lizzie Chavis Hunt; his siblings, David Hunt, James Hunt, Nancy Kirkland and Pearl Hunt; and his sister-in-law Karen Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Hunt; his children, Michael Hunt (Mandy) of Laurinburg and Sherry Hunt Smith (Nicholas) of Laurinburg; his brothers, Nathaniel Hunt of Supply, Willie Hunt (Nancy) of Maxton and Lee Huggins (Mary) of Clio, SC; his grandchildren, Nicholas Smith, Harley Luther, Carrie Luther, Alexis Hunt, Katlyn Smith and Sherrina Smith; and his great grandchildren, Judah, Malani, Ainslee, Calani, Messiah, Lakota and Hayston. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Church of God of Prophecy (608 Lee's Mill Rd, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Park (11007 Academy Rd, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at the same location.
