He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Dovanell Locklear and Johnny "Bird Dog" Taylor. He is survived by: his parents, Jessica Taylor Deese of Fuquay Varina and Kirby W. Deese; his sisters, Arlenea Dial and Ruby Deese; his grandmothers, Charlotte Taylor and Judy Deese; his cousin Ayden Taylor; his aunts, Jennifer "Aunt Jenn" Taylor of Natisha and Jacobs; his uncle Ted Jacobs; and his close friend Tristan.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel (13640 Andrew Jackson Hwy, Laurinburg, NC 28352).
In Dakota's memory, donations may be given to Duke Children's Hospital.
