He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Dial and Ollie Mae Lowery Dial; and his wife Brenda Thompson Dial. He is survived by: his children, John Anthony Dial (Marsha) of Laurinburg, Michael Ray Dial (Sarah) of Wilmington, Billy Dean Dial, Leslie Nichole Dial of Pembroke and April Renee Dial Locklear (Daryl) of Pembroke; his siblings, Ken Dial of Laurinburg, Glenn Dial of Rockingham, Larry Dial of Hamlet, Darlene Williams of Laurinburg, Madelene Stubbs of Hamlet, Wanda Bailey of Wagram, Vergie Phillips of Robbins, Ilene Bryant of Hamlet and Gertie Locklear of Maxton; his grandchildren, Cody, Cheyenne, Brelaine, Michaela, Ollen, Hunter "Man Man" and Gage "Doot"; and his close friend Bonnie Jacobs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
