He is survived by: his wife Suzanne W. Sessoms; his children, John W. Sessoms Jr. (Rebecca) of Arkansas and Misty Peed (Patrick) of Laurinburg, NC; his stepsons, John "Matthew" Jacobs of Rowland, NC and Christopher Junior Woodell of Rowland, NC; his siblings, Paul Sessoms (Peggy) of Laurinburg, NC, Sarah Rhoden of Laurinburg, NC, Jean Byrd (Jim) of Laurinburg, NC, Kathleen Scott (DC) of Laurinburg, NC, Hazel Lathan (Bill) of Aberdeen, NC, Doris Jones of Laurinburg, NC and Ruby Locklear of Laurinburg, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Ricky Woodell, Clyde Junior Woodell, Michael Douglas Woodell, Grover Kevin Woodell and Stella Marie "Sissy" Oxendine. He is also survived by four grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends.
