He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Benton and Mary Frances Cribb Benton of Laurinburg. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Benton Worley (Robert) of Whiteville and Larry Benton (Rebecca) of Raeford; his stepson Cody Collins (Meggan Britt) of Laurinburg; his sisters, Wendy Benton Locklear (Jimmy) of Laurinburg and Tammy Benton Burris of Laurinburg; and his grandchildren, Kellie Bass, Bo Bass, Taylor Meyer and Zackary Worley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, his many devoted friends.
The family requests in lieu of flowers for memorial donations be given in Larry's memory to the Sons of the Confederate Veterans.
