He was predeceased by: his parents, Arless Lester Mclean and Maggie McRimmon McLean; his wife Janice Britt McLean; his grandson Christopher Stuart McLean; his son-in-law Charles Leslie Hicks, Jr.; and his siblings, Emmie Barnes, Tommy McLean and Arless McLean.
He is survived by: his children, Donna McLean Hicks of Laurinburg and Steven McLean (Allison) of Pinehurst; his grandchildren, David Gray McLean (Sarah Marie), Charles Leslie Hicks, III, Wilson McLean Hicks (Aly) and Sarah Evelyn Hicks Jarvis (Connor); and his sister Peggy York Coble. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
