He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Morris Norton and Alma McCumbee Norton; and his siblings, Bobby Norton, Jerry Norton, Elizabeth Norton and Faye Martin.

He is survived by: his significant other Nellie Pruitte Norton; his children, Levey "Tommy" Norton Jr. (Season) of Port Orange, FL and Laura Norton Sanders (Ted) of Maxton, NC; and his grandchildren, Matthew Sanders, Wesley Norton, Lane Norton and Hunter Norton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
