It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha H. McDaniel of Laurinburg, North Carolina, who passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Charles Peele and Addie Clark Peele Morton; her husband Vernon McDaniel; her granddaughter Ashley McDaniel; her stepfather Dennis H. Morton; her nephew Kevin Gibson; and her siblings, John Peele, Marjorie Medlock and Bonnie Jean Nemerov.

She is survived by: her sons, Ray McDaniel, Dale McDaniel (Vicky) of Laurinburg, NC and Tommy McDaniel (Luann) of Wagram, NC; her grandsons, Jonathan McDaniel of Raleigh, NC and Dr. Garrett McDaniel (Kristy) of McColl, SC; her great grandchildren, Brianna and Avery McDaniel; and her siblings, Doris Morton of Laurinburg, Ruby Carnahan of San Antonio, TX, Joe Peele of Hamlet and Harold Peele (Patsy) of Laurinburg. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
