She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Cleveland Penny and Edna Aileen Wiggins Penny; her husband Arthur Duncan Currie, Jr.; her daughter Rebecca "Penny" Currie Johnston; and her brother James Penny.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Currie (Pam) of Oklahoma City, OK, Linda C. Locklear (JW) of Laurinburg, Janice C. Singletary (Dink) and Ann C. Hill (David); and her close friend Jim West. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; a host of loving family, friends.
The family requests memorial donations to be given to New Hope Baptist Church.
