It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Morris Quentin Byers of Laurinburg, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, Georgia, who passed away on April 24, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Byers and Gladys Irene Simmons Byers. He is survived by: his wife Martha Southerland Byers; his sons, Michael David Byers (Heather) of Wilmington and Matthew Ryan Byers (Jennifer) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Brooks Logan Byers, Marlee Grace Byers, Madeline Claire Byers, Charles Matthew Byers and Olivia Faith Byers; his sister Dottie Black of Athens, GA; and his nephew Brett Pulliam (Arienne) of Durham.

The family requests memorial donations be given to the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 883, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
