It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Cooper I (Laurinburg, North Carolina), who passed away on October 27, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard Cooper, Sr. and Mardrie Coltharp Cooper; his wife Patricia Stubbs Cooper; his grandchildren, Matthew Braswell and Kaitlin Braswell; and his brother Johnny Eugene Cooper.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Charles Cooper, II, Susan Elaine Cooper and Anne Cooper Braswell; his sister Charlotte Cooper Locke; and his grandchildren, Scott Geoffrey Chapman, II, Marissa Jones (Ruiz), Samantha Ruiz, Robert Alekzandr "Alek" Cooper, Blake Braswell and Madison Braswell. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews and many friends.

COVID-19 mandates require facial masks or coverings and limited attendance at all services.
