He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Norris and Annie Lee Yates; his granddaughter Jayme Rogers; and his siblings, Franklin Norris, Marilyn Smith and Patricia Gainey.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Gibson Norris; his children, Robert Norris, Jr. (Ally) of Whispering Pines and Donna Butler of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Teri Barrington of Fayetteville, Jessica Norris of Laurinburg, Gary Parker, Jr. (Ashley) of Gibson and Isabella Norris of Whispering Pines; and his great grandchildren, Jayden, Michael, Kayleb, Jackson, Mason, Karah, Emma Jade, Justin of Jayleigh, LJ and Jaxon.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (11480 Hasty Rd, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at the Roselawn Cemetery.
