She was predeceased by : her father Jessie Clyde Hatcher; her grandmother Lizzie Jacobs; her great-grandparents, Owen Brooks and Fannie Jacobs; her grandparents, Clyde and Harriet Hatcher; and her siblings, Marlene Hunt, Harry Wayne Jacobs and Jimmy Jacobs.

She is survived by : her mother Delois J. Chavis; her husband Cerles Locklear; her sister Sherry Locklear; her stepchildren, Destiny R. Locklear, Austin Locklear (Lauren) and Brandon Locklear; and her daughter Nikki Clark. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, a host of friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel (13640 Andrew Jackson Hwy, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Park (11007 Academy Rd, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A burial was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at the same location.
