He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Harrison Pierce and Rhoda Locklear Pierce; his sons, Dennis "Chuck" Pierce, Terry Glenn Pierce, Henry Weldon Pierce and Tilmer Pierce, Jr.; his siblings, Richard "Abud", Fletcher, James, William Plez, Elizabeth Taylor, Inez Locklear, Queenella Allen and Sallie Stone; and his half-siblings, John, Eulas, Addie Lee, Cordelia, Mary Helen and Nurseane.

He is survived by: his son Anthony Bullard of Maxton; his siblings, Clee Miller Pierce of Lumberton and Margie Thompson of Wade; and his grandchildren, Shane, Steve, Johnny, Nathan, Kristen, Maranda, Nessie, Terry Lee, Shaina, Michael and Latoya. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
