It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter M. Lowery of Laurinburg, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lowery and Norma Lee Harris Lowery. He is survived by: his wife Genell Oxendine Lowery; his sons, Christopher Fitzgerald Lowery of Laurinburg and Roger Dale Lowery of Laurinburg; his stepdaughters, Bobbie Ann Morton (Jeff) of Fayetteville and Melinda Ruth Stumpp (Chris) of Liberty; and his siblings, Carl Dean Clark (Ramona Jean) of Laurinburg, John Lewis Lowery (JoAnn) of Pembroke, Marcus Lowery (Pam) of Cary, Linda Bullard of Pembroke and Barbara Strickland of Maxton. He is also survived by three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Due to Covid-19, all attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing when possible.
