He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Peele and Annie Stevens Peele of Laurinburg, NC.; his wife Lillie Belle Peele; and his siblings, Ted Peele, Virginia White, Vinnie Stanton, Ralph Peele and John Peele.

He is survived by: his sons, William "Bill" Peele (Cindy) of Laurinburg, NC, Wayne Peele (Wendy) of Laurinburg, NC and Allen Peele (Linda) of Laurinburg, NC; his grandchildren, Heather Peele Bounds (David), William Matt Peele (Emily), Courtney Peele Nason (Jordan), Jeremy Peele (Tammy), Meredith Peele Bryan (Garrett) and Evan Peele; his stepgranddaughters, Marta Blerbaum (Chris Pizzarello) and Abby Blerbaum Jennings (Cameron); and his great grandchildren, Walter Bounds, Poppy Bounds, William James Peele, Jules Nason, Dash Nason, Lily Bryan, Vivienne Bryan, Henry Bryan, Miles Pizzarello, Clara Jennings and Callie Jennings.
