He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Lee Towery and Zela Marie Chapman Towery; his wife Charlene Bradshaw Towery; his brother Charlie Towery (Carolyn); his brother-in-law Johnny Shimpock; and his niece Marisa Harmon.
He is survived by: his sister Mozelle Shimpock of Morganton; his nephew Brian Towery of Connelly Springs; his niece Michelle Towery Lail (Curtis) of Lawndale; and his cousins, Dale and Kelly Carter of Lawndale.
