He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Lafayette Brown and Louise Tallent Brown; and his wife Bertie "Sissy" Heavner Brown. He is survived by: his children, Brent Brown (Trina) of Cherryville and Nikki Snead (Zach) of Columbia, SC; and his grandchildren, Alex Brown (Morgan), Laura Brown, Lilly Snead and Zachary Snead.
His passion for agriculture and his outstanding contributions to the industry were recognized when he was honored with the Lincoln County Farm Family of the Year award.
