He was predeceased by : his parents, Don Martin Pennington, Sr. and Margaret Covey Pennington; his son Skyler Pennington; his wife Patsy Meade Pennington; his children, Donnie Pennington, Alice Gilliam and Memorie Hoover; and his sisters, Robin Shuford (Gary) of Boiling Springs and Lynn Vincent (Jay) of Boone.
